Formed in 1988 by James Johnstone and Mike Delanian. Early singles Some Fool's Mess and Bedlam cemented a loyal fanbase and the introduction of Terry Edwards and Ian White into the band in 1993 saw them build on that and steer the music on to the substantial sound which can be heard on Traitor's Gate and Fire Music. Later recordings feature Simon Wring and Jeremy Cottingham on bass.
